Flying Van's RV-9A built in my garage started November 2004 and finished in August 2006. We have landed in all lower 48 (CONUS), Quebec, Ontario Canada, and the Bahamas. Most of the videos document our trips.
In March 2019 we started building a RV-10 (kit number 2,000) and finished it in July 2020. Due to pandemic we have not made too many cross country flights.
Unless otherwise noted, all videos are shot by Li-Fen L. Chang.

Lake Ashby is a small lake (1 x 1 mile). In order to follow the shoreline, one must make very sharp turns. During my morning exercise I decided to fly following the shoreline. It is fun to do something other than straight and level flight.

GoPro max camera mounted on top of left wing. Takeoff rwy 06 at Spruce Creek. Made a 360 over the shoreline then flew south toward the national seashore. Climb up to the cloud level before descending down. Following the shore of Lake Ashby (1.4 nm long and 0.5 nm wide). Mid field crosswind rwy 06 then land. Notice a gust just over the threshold.

Spruce Creek Fly-in, just north of the New Smyrna Beach airport.

The term gaggle reference geese, means a group of geese on the ground only.......in flight the geese are referred as a "stein, a. team, or a wedge" just FYI LOL
Thanks. Years ago when the Spruce Creek pilots flew together to breakfast destinations we call ourselves a “gaggle” of flight. The term “gaggle flight” stick. Ever since our formation group is called Gaggle Flight!

Catalina? That's what it looks like. I know I really need to get out more😁 Having said that you see what looks like the tail of a Canadair CL215/415 so it could belong to that. If so I think it needs urgently resoring to flying condition if they haven't already as its services are badly needed at the moment.

Great presentation I don't understand why this type of plane can't be Use for long range distance? Or mission planner Ardupilot PixHawk?
By the time you added larger fuel tanks it would be maxed out on weight.
